TPI proves worthwhile

One of our clients recently received a letter giving one week’s notice of a VAT compliance visit. Fortunately, the client had taken out our Taxation Protection Insurance and, under the comprehensive terms of that insurance, were able to claim the costs of the visit - which was subsequently postponed on the day thereby incurring abortive costs in respect of our staff member's attendance and travel expenses!  When the meeting was rearranged we again attended at our client’s premises and dealt with the queries that arose from the two VAT inspectors, leading to a successful conclusion on the day.  The invoice, for our not inconsiderable costs for the two visits in this respect, will be met in full by the insurers. A satisfactory conclusion all around!
