The Work of Investment Seminar

15 November 2010

Tynedale Function and Conferencing Centre

Speaker: Justin Urquart Stewart of Seven IM and TV fame

Subject: The Work of Investment

Tricia was delighted to welcome Justin Urquhart Stewart, TV pundit, internationally acclaimed financial journalist and one of the Square Mile’s most respected commentators, to Hexham for this seminar.

Justin arrived straight from commenting on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme to deliver a highly entertaining presentation to a packed audience. On the menu were the current financial market, politicians, the global market and his own fascinating insights on where the world is headed. With Ireland very much to the fore that week, Justin’s view was we all knew a bail-out was coming, it was just a question of when. Patricia said, “Justin has a natural talent for conveying pertinent information in an understandable manner and the rapt audience could have listened all day. As one of the Bank Managers present commented,‘you can’t learn to speak like that, you have to be born to it’.”

The seminar was a successful conclusion to a series of “Finding the Silver Lining” seminars which company has hosted to mark 25 years in practice. Patricia concludes “Justin’s realistic optimism was a breath of fresh air in light of media doom and gloom. I now feel we can all survive the next decade. There is a 'Silver Lining' if you get the right professionals to help you find it!”
