Having sponsored this year's Hexham Christmas Market Tricia was delighted to see a wide variety of products available on the stalls. She is seen below at the Sele gates and on Tim Foxall's stall where she admired his range of somewhat different spatulas.
Hexham Red Cross have raised a wonderful £12,000 at their annual Christmas Fair held recently at Hexham Racecourse. We are proud to sponsor this very worthwhile event.
Tricia was honoured to be asked to the Hexham Abbey Project Completion Lunch together with many of the main fund sponsors and bodies responsible for the Project going ahead. We enjoyed a delicious sponsor’s lunch in the new Prior’s Hall followed by a tour of the new facilities which will now provide a fabulous opportunity for Hexham. I am proud and delighted to have been able to be a significant part of the fundraising effort which enabled the £3m project to go ahead.
Tricia has supported SHINE – a charity organisation for people with Spina bifida and Hydrocephalus – for many years. It is a charity very close to her heart as she has two dear friends who have these conditions.
SHINE’s vision statement is a society that meets the needs, values the contributions and celebrates the lives of people living with spina bifida and hydrocephalus.
Tricia’s support takes the form of sponsoring a balloon in a balloon race – to reflect the changing times this is no longer an actual balloon, it now takes a virtual form. Despite participating several times a year for nearly thirty years Tricia has never won the case of champagne!
We have been told that the Beer Festival raised in excess of £67,000 so this year's charities and good causes; The Percy Hedley Fundation, North of England Cancer Research and QEHS Rowing Club will benefit from much needed funds.
No doubt the weather at the event was a factor which helped considerably towards the sale of almost all of the beers and ciders on offer.
As a major sponsor, Tricia is proud to be associated with such a splendid fund raising event.
Next year the festival takes place over the 11th, 12th and 13th June.
Tricia was again a proud sponsor of this event and was delighted to be associated with the successful weekend of music at Corbridge where they had packed audiences at all nine of the concerts.
It was wonderful to be able to help an event at the centre of the community in Corbridge.
Here are a couple of pictures of Tricia at the venue in St Andrew's Church.
